Shona’s was established in 1995 offering hairdressing services. The salon is in the bustling town centre of the seaside town of Scarborough, which is on the coastline in North Yorkshire. In 1999 the salon was expanded to incorporate beauty services to satisfy client demand. Since them the salon has grown and grown to what it is today, a haven for excitement, fun, friendliness and relaxation, with of course the option of peace and tranquillity in the private beauty rooms.

Shona’s have built up a loyal cliental by making the warm and inviting atmosphere as important as the services we offer. Everyone who walks through our door is important and our team here at Shona’s are dedicated to providing a superior service and our ultimate goal is to give every client an unparalleled experience, so you leave our salon feeling on top of the world. Our team members are offered and attend ongoing training to maintain the high standards that Shona’s prides itself on guaranteeing our clients receive only the best service and treatment also attending seminars, shows and entering many national competitions keeping them all up to date with all the latest trends. The salon director is an ex member of the British competition team and over the years has won many awards and has entered, attended and  presented many shows, competitions, photo shoots and demonstrations some of which include show work on stage at Salon International, presenting cutting techniques for Sexy Hair Concepts and demonstrating hair extensions for Cinderella Hair. She also holds The Advanced cutting certificate from Vidal Sassoon Academy, Beverley Hills, Los Angeles and many more awards, certificates and credits enabling her to pass on her experiences to the rest of the team, creating opportunities for them so they can follow in her footsteps to build up their own wall of fame!
